You may see over the next few months ๐Ÿ“… that the housing market is increasing โฌ†๏ธ drastically as compared to year-over-year from last year around this time. Last year data covering March, April, May, and June, we saw a significant decrease in the housing market because that dirty little C-word that was out there. I have a feeling that the news and the headlines in the up and coming months are going to boast of massive increases as compared to last year. You see, the media, they tend to do that a lot, but thatโ€™s not really the case as we have certainly had a great year as far as home appreciation in the housing market due to one of the lowest levels of inventory Iโ€™ve ever seen in the past years in conjunction with one of the lowest interest rate levels of all time.ย 

But, if you compare last yearโ€™s numbers to this yearโ€™s numbers, it will seem strikingly different. Itโ€™s not so much that the market as it was what was happening last year at this time โฑ as compared to what is happening right now in the market, okay. Essentially, the increase is due to two things that were transpiring last year around this time, which were drastically lower housing numbers during the arrival of the virus as well as subsequent strong rebound. Iโ€™ve been selling real estate in the Houston, Cypress and Katy area for 10 plus years, and if I didnโ€™t know any better, Iโ€™d be fooled too. So just be cautious when making any decisions without speaking with someone whoโ€™s got the experience as well as the knowledge to help you make informed decisions about your home buying or selling process. The bottom line is, thereโ€™s probably going to be some crazy headlines about sensational real estate market as compared to last year, but donโ€™t be fooled, the market is finally getting back to normal.
